Red and swollen gums in infants

Dear Mums, I need your advise here. My daughter who 17 months old has red and swollen gums. She has temperature for 5 days now just under 38 degrees. Lost her appetite and only drinks liquids. Likely I'm still breastfeeding so this remained her main food for these 5 days.
I thought she might be teething again. She currently has 4 top and 4 bottom teeth and 2 bottom molars. Each time she's teething she had a temperature and running noise for few days. Her gums were a bit swollen but this time they are more of a red colour as well and this is all over existing teeth. I also noticed not very pleasant smell from her mouth which wasn't the case before.
I phoned 111 twice and today was prescribed antibiotics which I'm going to pick up in the morning.

Has anyone had such issues with red and swollen gums over existing teeth? I'm more worried that she's not just teething but rather has some gum or throat infection. Any advice is very much appreciated.

Not had any experience of it sorry. Have you got any calpol to give to her tonight, before you start the antibiotics in the morning?
