Feeding all day at 8 weeks

Hi, my 8 week old has started feeding all day, as in constantly want to be on the breast from around 8am to at least mid afternoon, gets very upset when taken off and only pauses briefly to vomit (she has been quite reflux and regurgitant but this had actually been settling!).
She sleeps great at night, has given us 6 hours since she was just a few weeks old, puts on weight well, plenty of wet nappies etc but this is driving me mad and I don't know what to do, there's no way she can actually be hungry for all that time esp as she is so full it is literally coming out as she is feeding!
What can I do?

Do you have someone at home with you? Could they take her out for a walk or drive for an hour to give you a break during the morning?

Otherwise I'd make a flask, get some snacks and MN watch some box sets. There has to be some pay off for 6 hours of sleep at night at this age Smile

This Is totally normal. I have no idea How you stop it, sorry!

I used to pass my baby off to someone else for half an hour when I was able to. She would usually cry the whole time but sometimes I just needed to go for a shit/take a bath/have a quick nap/stare quietly at a wall for 30 mins

Is it really normal? I see people talking about their baby feeding frequently but this is just one constant feed! It's been for the last week, will it stop? My husband holds her for 10 mins then brings her back to tell me she is hungry 😞 she is awake for like 12 hours just chomping away on me....

My baby was like this. So I would say normal. It won't be like this forever. Gradually the baby will have gaps between feeds, and those gaps will get bigger and bigger

Mine was about 4 months old when she started to have short breaks between feeds, sometimes as much as half an hour.

Hmm guess I'll just ride it out then, just thought it was odd it just started happening all of a sudden! Maybe it's an extended growth spurt..... (Fingers crossed) on the plus side my dh is now at home too as we are on lockdown in nz

Dummy

Some are just sucky and need it for comfort.

Won't take it from me anymore, I guess she can smell I've got milk, luckily we are on lockdown in nz now so my husband is around to help break the cycle!

It looks like the baby is going through a development leap. Mine is currently the same age and doing the same! It should come back to normal in a few days.
