Infant gaviscon causing constipation

My 3 month old has reflux, she was given gaviscon to try but it's made her poo pellets, crying when she passes wind too, and it's not stopped her spitting milk back up.
Anyone else found this? What did you find worked instead?
Gp suggested if gaviscon doesn't improve her reflux, to go back to using cow and gate anti reflux milk at night and normal during the day, as that made her poos softer.
I've noticed today she brings more milk up when she's straining to Las wind or poo, contemplating trying her tonight on just normal milk to see if that helps clear her out and then reintroduce the anti reflux milk tomorrow or in a day or two if needs be 🤷🏻‍♀️

If she’s vomiting whilst trying to poo, have you tried sticking her in a sling and walking around? She may vomit less if she’s uptight and the sling should help her pass the poo.

There are lots of posts on MN about Gaviscon causing constipation, I’d go back to the GP and ask for some different anti-reflux medication.

Has the GP discussed the possibility of Cow’s Milk Protein Allergy?

Not sure if it helps but my EBF DS was prescribed gaviscon at around three months for silent reflux caused by infacol 🤦🏻‍♀️ by day two of having it he was screaming with a tender tummy and painful wind, it was awful, we stopped both the gaviscon and infacol and within a couple days he was a different baby.
It's so hard to know what to do and ends up being a bit of trial and error. Hope she feels better soon !

Yeah we've already had a month's trial on nutramigen and it made no difference. She went onto that due to coming out in a rash and showing the reflux symptoms. After 3 weeks the health visitor suggested reintroducing normal formula to see how she gets on.
Even while in nutramigen she was bringing milk back up etc.

Just feel we can't do right for doing wrong. What helps the reflux, ends up causing another problem, 🤦🏻‍♀️ my first born was such a doddle compared 🤦🏻‍♀️
