DD has still been having a night feed to get her off to sleep but the past two nights she has said she can’t get any milk out.
I said maybe the boobies know she’s a big girl now and can cuddle to sleep instead.
She was asleep in 5 minutes!
I feel a bit she’ll shocked!
And happy because now DH can do bed time!

This is lovely, well done on reaching such a milestone.

I hope you are feeling okay, I take from your post that you are.

Thank you. I’m wide awake anxious must be a reaction to the end of the journey. I’ll be okay.

Hope you get some sleep. She’s a lucky girl. My DD is a year soon and I can’t imagine stopping feeding for ages. Did you have an idea of how long you’d continue?

absopugginglutely · 04/03/2020 13:38

I’m hoping I am pg but doubt it 😊
DH would be gutted, I’d be over the moon!

@Annelovesgilbert I just thought I’d do it until she started primary school (wouldn’t want bullying etc if anyone found out!) but it’s just happened and DD was really happy to just drift off to sleep with a cuddle.
I love that it was a natural dwindle.
It’s seen us through lots of developmental stages and changes not to mention when she’s been poorly.

How are you feeling about it today?

DD has been poorly for a week, off some of her usual food and feeding like a newborn. It’s been lovely knowing she’s still well nourished and that I’m giving her what she needs Smile

I’m back to work soon and hoping we can carry on around it and it’ll help with the big transition!

Thanks for being kind Anne, I'm struggling a bit at night. My brain is telling me that I've done my job and she doesn't need me anymore- bonkers of course I know, it's crazy. I just wonder if the hormones make you feel a bit anxious and down?
I did a pg test and not pregnant.

You will be able to carry on around work. DD always adapted around all my various work commitments over the years. Yes it's lovely when they're ill as a comfort for them and for you to feel you can do something. It's just nature's magic isn't it!
