I'm hoping that I can get some similar stories from others here. My DS is now 20 weeks but we've had lots of problems with him since day 1. After months of screaming and lots of stress, the doctors diagnosed him with severe reflux and a milk protein allergy. For the past two weeks, he's now been taking tablets for the reflux and on Aptamil Pepti 1. He's a totally different baby and the screaming has near enough stopped. Npw though, he tends to be spitting up huge amounts of milk and when he is feeding loads is spilling out the sides of his mouth- his bib and top are soaked through!

I wondered if anyone else has had a similar experience as Pepti 1 is very thin, so I'm putting it down to that. I really don't want to go back to the doctors, it feels like we're always there!

Any experiences would be massively helpful!

Have you tried using a milk thickener like carobel? My DD has a milk allergy and she was the same when we first started on her different formula. I thought she just didn’t like the taste but put her on the thickener and she’s not spat up since.

That's something I have been thinking about, the comfort milk was so thick and now this is so watery no wonder he's struggling! I'll book an apt with the doctors tomorrow and ask about this, i'm assuming it's notn something that can be bought off the shelf?

You can get it at some chemists off the shelf 😊
