Neocate for immediate onset CMPA

Hi all,

My little boy is almost 10mo and has immediate onset CMPA (vomiting) but was breastfed until 6/7 months so we only realised when trying to wean / move him onto formula.

He was initially on similac alimentum which he was absolutely fine on, no issues. But then he got a viral infection and is no longer able to tolerate the similac (vomiting up his milk again and v.grumpy and unsettled!!!) so we have been told to try Neocate to try and calm down the vomiting.

For those of you who's babies are on Neocate for immediate onset CMPA, how long did it take for it to start working? It's breaking my heart seeing my baby so sick and unhappy all the time - I want my smily boy back!!!

Thanks in advance xx

I don't have a baby with CMPA, sorry OP, it's me that has it.

As Neocate is DF, I think you should start to see an improvement almost straight away although it might take a couple of weeks before he is completely recovered as the guy will need time to heal.

Definitely should have sone improvement within the first 2 days though.
