Any ideas how to improve 7 month old latch

My little one had a tongue tie when he was born however we were fortunate to get it snipped at 10 days old.
I do think his latch got better for a few months and then he got very distracted and his latch has just got worse. So now it feels like he is just nipple feeding, sometimes is sore and I'm not sure whether my supply is dropping due to this. So my question is, is it possible to improve the latch this far along and how do I do that?

Yes, I'd get one hand behind head, one on boob and make sure he's getting a full stuffed mouth of boob in there. if he pulls so he's hanging off the nipple, take him off and do it again until he learns that nipple hanging = no milk

Even if I get a good latch he pulls it back out again with his hands. Its starting to feel like I don't wanna carry on because he never stays on for longer than a minute. Its getting extremely frustrating. I will try what you said though thankyou :)

I’d take that as a sign he doesn’t really want it so may be dropping a feed.
