How to increase milk supply in uneven breasts?

My 6 week old has just slept through the night for 2 nights in a row. Am not expecting this to continue (although it’s been lovely!) but as a result I’m waking up with full breasts from missing the night feeds (ebf) especially the right breast which is engorged. I would like to build up my freezer stash so am taking the opportunity to pump in the morning however I would like to increase supply in my left boob and ideally be able to continue pumping at the first feed. Can anyone advise how to increase supply on the left? I’ve tried pumping it once my baby has fed but nothing else comes out. Should I offer her the engorged side instead and leave the left side exclusively for pumping? At the moment I’m starting her on the left and when she’s done I’m offering her the right if she wants more. I’m pumping a few mls off the right as it’s so full she can’t latch on, then pumping anything I can get once she’s finished.

Also, when she goes back to waking at night am I going to have an issue with supply, as in not have enough in the middle of the night? Thank you!

You won’t have an issue with supply at night if you’ve fed her at night so far.

I think you may have overstimulated your right side. Having said that I’m probably the last person to be able to give you advice on pumping as I barely ever got a drop out with my first.

I’d give one if the BFing Helplines a call and see if the BFC can give you any suggestions of things to try Smile
