And when I say 'active' I mean manic headbutting, face rubbing, hitting, scratching all over my boobs, neck, chest and arms.

Always before sleep, often doesn't seem to want to feed but I usually feed to sleep so he cries if I try to shush him in cot. If I try rocking him he headbutts and mouths me to try and get to the boob.

All very new and odd. I look like I've been attacked which I sort of have! Not many bites yet at least.

Sent before finished - has anyone else had this and what did you do to calm it down? He is 9 months.

Mine was the same at that age. Too tired, I needed to start bedtime feed earlier

There are sone good tips on Kellymom but I found guiding their hand to something you did want them to play with worked for us. With DC2, it was my earlobe, can't tenner whet kept DC1 happy in the end.

Starting bedtime earlier is a great suggestion too.

I've got one of those teething/feeding necklaces lying around I can try as distraction and will bring bedtime forward for now. Finding the sweet spot is hard!
