Formula fed baby feeding on demand? Help!

I have a 7 week old so I know he's still very small; on a good day he feeds 3oz every 2 hours and is gaining weight nicely. Sometimes though he will decide he only wants 2 and then is screaming hungry an hour later, and that can go on the whole day.

I also have an older child and I'm struggling with making up so many bottles, how can I prolong his feeds a bit? Ideally I would love for him to do 4oz every 3 hours...

I had a reflux baby who are well known for "sipping" all day long. Never knew if he would take 1 ounce or 4! The best solution we could come up with was to buy a plastic jug that fit in the steriliser and make up a jug of formula so I could pour it out as he needed.

I know your probably looking for ways to get baby on a better, more predictable schedule but I'm pretty baby-led so that was my solution. I'm sure others will have other ideas too Smile hopefully your baby will become more reliable soon, I think mine did at about 14-16 weeks!
