What does your baby eat for Breakfast?

My baby is almost 1 year old and I'm struggling to think of things to give him for breakfast and I'm worried he's getting bored of having the same thing all the time. He often refuses to eat lunch at nursery so I try to make sure he eats a good breakfast. Looking for suggestions of anything filling and quick to prepare that I can give him in the mornings.

Ds loves weetabix, or porridge mixed with mashed banana at that age. Or Cheerios. He ate anything though, so some days he would have toast, crumpets, English muffins, scotch pancakes, normal pancakes, toasted teacake or hot cross bun, slices of fruit bread etc.

How about buttered crumpets, a banana, or cheese spread on toast? Buttered, toasted cinnamon bagels always went down well here too Smile

My 17 month old enjoys, peanut butter on toast, pikelets, egg and toast, french toast, pancakes

Dd lived mini shredded wheat, crumpets and fruit

I struggle with breakfast with my 11m, he currently will only eat weetabix and toast! Doesn't like porridge 🤦‍♀️

Appymummy · 10/02/2020 19:45

Or anything to do with egg!

Weetabix with banana, porridge with blueberries or chopped up apple and a sprinkle of cinnamon, half a toasted buttered raisin bagel, toast (plus some fruit and a yoghurt), scrambled eggs, banana and oat pancakes...

Porridge (plain or with fruit purée), toast, crumpets, scotch pancakes, scrambled eggs, cereal, brioche.

Give what they like, it's only society who says you can't have lasagne for breakfast Smile

we gave him (and still do) scrambled egg and toast. i'm a big believer in protein for breakfast. often (before he learnt to argue) (now he demands brown sauce, well done daddy Hmm) i added blitzed up spinach. i also make smoothies with frozen fruit and put yogurt and chia seeds in. he also likes porridge and i have been known to do baked beans on toast.

Some great suggestions on here. I'd never thought about eggs for breakfast but I'll definitely be trying it this week and fingers crossed it goes down well.

Mine like blueberry pancakes at the weekend. We usually use frozen blueberries just for convenience. Probably best to serve them to a baby without the syrup.

Apparently, you can freeze them but I can't make them quick enough for my hoard.
