Anyone got suggestions for snacks to eat whilst breastfeeding? Especially at night that I don’t need to prepare! Would love a piece of toast but just not practical

Brioche rolls live by my bedside table. I have a bit of a problem with them Blush
Have run out though and am bloody starving tonight.

Rice cakes topped with pb and banana slices or avocado and chilli jam, basically what I’d have on toast with easier bed prep!

Following as all I tend to have is crisps and cereal bars! Currently feeding month old DS and craving some chips 😳🤣

I know this isn't great for your teeth but when ds was little I lived off brunch bars by night. Even seeing them now takes me back!

DorothyWasRightTho · 31/01/2020 04:54

I like the rice cakes with pb and banana Idea! Maybe some cheese and marmite too..
I’ve got a bag of dried fruit and nuts but getting a bit fed up of that and I don’t think that much sugar during the night can be great for my teeth!

Individual bars of Soreen, satsumas and water for me!

ParadiseLaundry · 31/01/2020 08:50

Babybels and oatcakes. They'll be fine out of the fridge for a few hours. Any a nice snack but maybe not in the middle of the night are pepperamis!

Pinkflipflop85 · 31/01/2020 10:28

Flapjacks. The oats are good for milk production and they are yummy!

AliceTheCamelHasFiveHumps · 31/01/2020 10:45

I have some if the following;
bananas, apples, rice cakes, nuts and raisins, malt loaf with butter, sometimes make a peanut butter or cheese sandwich/wrap before going up.

I have a little basket it sits in!

Have been known to also eat wine gums at 3am... don't know how they got in the basket Halo...

Babybels and Pepperamis added to the shopping list... Grin

When I was bf/pumping, I’d eat those little bags of dried fruit and nuts, and chocolate brioche Grin

Harrysmummy246 · 01/02/2020 22:12

Oaty cracker biscuits and endless litres of water

It's not forever with the BF feeling of starvation- I seem to remember that stopped probably by about 3 months but if I'm honest the PND has made a lot of that period a bit blurry

PhilomenaChristmasPie · 01/02/2020 22:14

Nuts
Hard boiled eggs made in the morning and stored in the fridge

LifeInTents · 02/02/2020 20:20

Crackers with hummus or tapenade is my favourite. Sometimes with carrot sticks too. For sweet stuff banana and walnut bread.
