Combo breast and formula...overfeeding

I have EBF my baby until 9 months and am slowly introducing formula which he guzzles down. While BF, I didn’t bother to monitor his milk intake because I was told you can’t over feed an EBF baby, however now I wonder how I should monitor his formula intake if he’s also eating 3 meals a day and snacking on breastfeeds!? I’m thinking of giving him formula at night only to try and help him sleep (he’s a terrible sleeper and I’m desperate).

I'm also combi feeding and was told to follow the babies cues - so, feed until they refuse. At that age, the baby is able to push the bottle away, or turn their head, or stop sucking. Overfeeding is mainly a problem if you're forcing the baby to finish a bottle.
