We have just found out that the milk my baby is on is being discontinued and we wont be able to buy it elsewhere locally. We have a tin of a previous milk he was on but didnt get on with at the time (we thought it was constipation but turns out since going onto the new milk its reflux). So we are thinking about going back to it now he is a bit older and reflux is under control.
Anyway, to wean him back onto it gently can we do 1 part milk 1 and 1 part milk 2 and slowly go across?

Which milk is being discontinued? What age is your baby?

MrsB2605 · 09/01/2020 16:54

The original milk was sma but changed to a supermarkets own brand. This is the milk being discontinued.

If the original milk powder is open it should be thrown away after a while (4 or 6 weeks I think, should say on the tin).

Its unopened

I think I'd be tempted to try a new powder that's as close in composition to the powder that's being discontinued. You don't want to suffer a set back with the reflux etc.
