Dreamfeed - until when? FF baby (15weeks)

Just wondering - when did you drop the dreamfeed? My DD is 15 weeks, feeds five times during the day (three hourly), about 5oz each feed, bed at 7pm, then has 4oz dreamfeed at 11pm, sleeps until 6.30am.

We tried reducing then cutting out the 11pm feed, OK some nights (when she'd then take bigger feeds the next day), but other nights she'd wake up 1-2am for a feed. So we've started giving her the 11pm feed every night again. My DS (bigger, hungrier baby) dropped the dreamfeed at 10 wks, which I know is quite early.

We kept the dream feed up until ds was 7 months and established on solids. He cut it out on his own really, just wasn't that interested any more.

I didn't dare try to cut it out earlier as I didn't want him waking in the night.

I know a couple of people who dropped it earlier on, but most people I know waited until they were on solids, so they could be confident they wouldn't wake at night.

Thanks. I just wondered if she was taking it more out of habit, or if some babies still actually need it until they are on solids.

we stopped this one with DS1 at about 8 weeks - he just didn't wake up so we thought we wouldn't feed him - and he slept right through til 6 !!

(before you hate me - this has not happened with my other 2 boys!)

Dropped it at about 4 months for DD1 and 3 months for DD2 as they were both becoming phenomenally hard to wake by then and would only take a couple of oz. Hope for the same with 5WO DD3 but who knows. She's bigger and hungrier and can barely last 4 hours between feeds yet.

ETA--of course that means DD3 is getting a 2-3am feed too right now.

Thanks, handy to know what others did - my DS just lost interest at 9/10wks, while DD is still going strong with the 11o'c feed. Am trying to encourage her to get her calories during the day, but seems she's not yet ready to go through every night. (I'll just be thankful I'm not still doing the 4am feed).
DD is v different to DS - DS happily went four hours or longer between feeds, and was draining 12-13oz feeds at 16wks, DD currently barely manages 5oz per feed but wants them 3 hourly. All different I guess! Thanks all.
