Combination feeding formula causing constipation and reflux!

Hi so I am one of those moms who struggled to breastfeed my baby and meet their supply needs! To cut a long story short after exclusively b.feeding and baby weight gain dipping I have had to give him formula. Since which he has been colicy and constipated and screaming bless him in pain.

Originally we gave him sma.... this caused constipation

Then we tried aptamil this too caused constipation and sickness

So we thought we should try a thinner easier to digest milk. So switched to hipp organic. So with this one he is less constipated but is very sick with reflux.

For the reflux we.tried gaviscon, this caused constipation!

We tried ranitidine and this too caused constipation!

Just wondered if any moms out there had the same problem and if they found a formula that worked?

We bought hipp anti reflux and I am thinking about trying this

How often are you changing formula? With dS1 (who was colicky, meaning i was trying different formulas) i was told to not change formula too much (unless there are allergy issues etc) as it takes a while (a few weeks) for their gut to get used to it if theyre young. Could it be that your LO needs a bit longer on one formula? The advice i got was over 3 yrs ago tho so rhings may have changed!

Hi the sma he was on for 12 weeks and the aptamil was 6 weeks. I did try and ask gp for advice but was told I dont know anything about formulas!
