Baby will not take any bottle with BM or formula

Trying to get my 5 month old to take a bottle as I need to start working, need to leave her with my mum/ mother in law sometimes and longing for date night!! Haven’t been able to as she completely rejects the bottle. She used to be so good and take Tommee Tippee closer to nature and not have any issues and then 1 month ago she just will not have the bottle.
She has some pear sometimes and somethings baby porridge or even some rusks (rarely because they’re full of stuff).
She either chews the teat on the side of her mouth and spits out the milk, completely seals her lips so tightly, arches her back, pushes her feet to launch herself backwards, shakes her head... basically anything to not let her drink. And she is hungry!! She’ll then intensely stare at my chest and squeak until she gets what she wants... the boob.
I don’t blame her because I know breast is best bla bla bla but would just LOVE to leave her and not worry that she’s giving whoever is looking after her a hard time.
I’ve tried soooo many brands of bottles and teats even getting other people to offer it when I’m not in the room but it sounds like she’s worse with them than when I offer it to her.
Anyone have any advice or been through anything similar???
Thank you Smile

Someone once said that their baby didd the same they offered a beaker instead of bottle and it worked

Are you offering the bottle? It'll probably work better for you to leave the house (actually go out, not just upstairs etc) for a few hours and leave your mum with the bottle. This is how it worked for us.

I tried every feed with just one bottle (Dr Browns) and I stuck with the same bottle , after a week I put some yogurt on the teet and she just sucked and started drinking and then started taking a bottle from then. She was 6 months old. She’s now 8 months and has bottle full time.

My middle and 3rd never accepted a bottle. They went straight onto sippy cups.

My first was fine, but it won’t work if you’re trying to offer the bottle - they can see you and smell your milk and it will never happen. So you need to go out / have a bath / be in a different room (and not pop in every 5 mins) and let someone else try.

Yep my now 2.5 yo refused the bottle. I tried everything! Basically it improved once we started weaning and he could be fed milky porridge (he wouldn't drink milk from a cup, only water) and other food. At 5 months you could leave your daughter for a couple of hours after a feed and she'd probably be ok - I left mine for dinner/ coffee with friends at that age and DH managed ok but I stayed local just in case!

We had to go to cup. Mine were using the Munchkin Miracle 360 cup around that age. I started them on that and just normal open top cup (fed be someone) around 4 months ish.

Mine never drank any form of milk from any bottle or cup. Didn't really take to solids either until she was nearly 2. Luckily I was a SAHM.
