Hi. I'm new on here. my little girl is nearly 4 weeks old and for the past week or so I've been expressing from one breast whilst she feeds from the other - first thing in the morning. thing is, i can only express about 2oz's, this morning, could only squeeze 1.5 oz. partner gives her this for night feed, but its not really enough and i end up bf her too. any tips/advice on squeezing more out?! cheers

No help really but I really struggled with expressing milk - my breasts seem only to produce the exact amount needed and no more. I'm still feeding him and he is 13 months so it was not a problem with supply but the only way I was ever able to express a 'full feed' was if he missed a feed.

HOpe someone can suggest how to squeeze out more!!!

I'm with lorisparkle on this one although my girl is only 7.5 months.
I was worried about my milk supply in the early days and so tried expressing immediately after a feed to stimulate my breasts into producing more milk.
One good time for me to get an extra ounce was about an hour after the last feed when she slept through as this way I wasn't really stealing her milk as I had the rest of the night to produce!
Not sure if this helps...
