Please looking for some advice or any thoughts. Dd is nearly 3 months old and weighs 13 lbs. She had been finishing 5oz bottles so we increased to 6oz feeds. She takes 5 feeds in a day - 7/8am, 12pm, 3-4pm, 7pm and 10.30pm. She sleeps from 11pm at night. On her late afternoon and early evening feeds she often only drinks between 3-4oz. She has been prescribed omeprazole for reflux as on her afternoon feeds she arches her back, struggles in pain when being winded and brings up a little sick.

Took her back to the doctors today because I'm thinking either reflux medication isn't working or something else underlying. The doctor has told us that we are over feeding her and that she should be having 5oz bottles as she's over filling on her earlier feeds resulting in small upset crying feeds later on.

I'm reluctant to drop her feeds as 3 out of 5 she finishes the 6oz and just feeling at a loss of what to do I'm tired and upset that she is so upset on some of her feeds.

Please help 🙌 sorry if any of what I've wrote sounds confusing x

Our DS has had terrible silent reflux and is on ranitidine for it, so I feel your pain! I have read that a lot of reflux babies prefer to eat little and often. So could you possibly try to feed the same amount per day (eg 5 x 6oz = 30oz a day) but in smaller amounts? E.g in 6 or 7 smaller feeds? That might help her digest her feeds a little better?
