Silent reflux

Hi everyone, I’m very new to this! My little boy is 7 weeks old & we believe has silent reflux. We’ve tried everything possible and have finally been prescribed infant gaviscon, the problem is now my little one gets so distressed he won’t take his bottle for more than an ounce! If we try to reintroduce the bottle he will can become so distressed for a few hours. I really am so concerned as today he has had less than 7 ounces. Please can anyone help with some advice, thank you in advanced!

Our little boy was diagnosed with silent reflux when he was about 4 weeks old and we went on the gaviscon. That made him very distressed and windy, so we tried anti reflux milk which made him super constipated. We finally got the doctor to prescribe ranitadine and it's been a game changer. He can keep drinking his usual milk, isn't windy and isn't constipated. Worth speaking to your GP about!

Thank you for the advice! We have finally managed to get him to take his milk with the gaviscon & so far he is doing well. We’ll bear it in mind if we need it later on :)
