ooh yeah the one hand free thing is great it's really difficult to change chanels with the remote with a bottle in your hand!

pregnantbabyelephant · 21/08/2007 14:58

SKYTVADDICT · 21/08/2007 14:59

You don't have to get out of bed in the middle of the night and go downstairs and put the kettle on to warm a bottle and wake the whole house up.

pregnantbabyelephant · 21/08/2007 14:59

can can watch as much tv /dvds as you want

ConnorTraceptive · 21/08/2007 15:00

you think to yourself "ooh neighbours is on"

you say to dh "I'm just gonna try feeding again he didn't seem to take much last time" then settle on sofa for 1/2 hour

katybump · 21/08/2007 15:01

you get to use nice comfy breastfeeding rooms when your out and about instead of the smelly nappy changing one with the manky bottle warmers

ConnorTraceptive · 21/08/2007 15:01

if you answer the door whilst breast feeding i can gaurantee double glazing salesmen don't hang around long.

pregnantbabyelephant · 21/08/2007 15:02

people smile at you when out and about and offer you water when feeding

OP posts:
pregnantbabyelephant · 21/08/2007 15:03

DD1 was born with Down's syndrome.
24 hours later I still hadn't held her but just found out that she had a healthy, happy heart. I held her for the first tiem and pout her to my breast. I was told that as she had DS she would be likey to have trouble latching on. she took to me straight away and in that instant I fell in love. i though 'PAH, her heart is fine, AND she can breastfeed, she's goning to be just fine this one' and it was the best feeling int he world.

Having them search you out, feeling their little mouths on your brest and being able to nourish them, keep them alive from your own body, ohhhhhh WOW. You kept them alive for 9 months inside you and you are continuing to do that in the way nature intended it.

Having a free hand to stroke their little heads and cheeks as they feed.

BLISS

thomcat · 21/08/2007 15:27

Your uterus contracts as you brestfeed so you get after pains as you feed but it's good for yu paon and doesn't last long.

it can be painfiul if you have over engorged boobs or get a blocked milk duct but these things happen early on in bf and once you have been feedign a while they don't bother you again.

pregnantbabyelephant · 21/08/2007 15:29

yes another good thing helps you lose weight

luckylady74 · 21/08/2007 15:33

for 8 weeks it was crap and then it just turned slowly into this blissful, relaxing hours of reading/tv or just daydreaming in the dark.
as a 32a cup i can say that a bosom was nice!
