Aptimal 1 v SMA Comfort

Hi, I’m new to this so please be gentle!

My DD is 9 weeks old and due to breast feeding issues has been on formula feed (Aptimal 1) since 2 weeks. She has always pooped once every 2/3 days but is always very uncomfortable a few hours before going (crying and hard stomach). We were told it was just her digestive system settling but I didn’t like seeing her so uncomfortable so switched to SMA Comfort yesterday. This seems to have helped the discomfort and we have already had 1 (very green!) poo!

The issue I have is now DD is not finishing bottles and falling asleep mid feed, something she hasn’t done before. She’s drinking around 90-120ml instead of the usual 180. Is this unusual? Or could it be partly to do with her 8 week injections which she had Wednesday?

Any help would be appreciated, not sure whether to switch back to Aptimal or see a doc! Thanks

Is comfort not thicker? Might need a faster teat

I will give that a try, thanks

We had the same swap for the same reasons when dd was a baby. Comfort is a lot thicker so you need a faster flow teat I would get a few different ones see which works best
