Stopping breast milk - constant engorgement, advice needed!

I am trying to stop my breast milk supply but am stuck.

I've got it right down, but I'm still getting engorged at some point everyday which results in lumpy blocked ducts. So everyday I'm pumping the absolute minimum from each side - between half an ounce to two ounces - just to massage out the blockages.

But I can't seem to get passed this stage.

Should I go cold turkey and deal with the pain for a couple of days (and hope it doesn't turn into mastitis!). I feel like if I'm still expressing even a little bit it's a signal to my boobs to still produce milk.

Any advice/experience would be much appreciated!!
Thanks Smile

Could try over the counter decongestants which are known to dry up milk hence not being recommended while bf.
Savoy cabbage leaves in bra.
Can you hand express rather than pump, just to massage blockages?

Did you stop suddenly? I've not had this problem when stopping but it was geadual when Ds was 21 mo
