Nursing Bras

I’m a soon to be FTM. I intend to give breastfeeding a try. I have bought a cheap soft sports bra from primark as i don’t want to spend loads (big chested) on fancy bras if breastfeeding doesn’t go well. Do you think this will be ok or should i just bite the bullet and buy one anyway?!

I didn’t wear a bra for the first few weeks, boobs out too much! I got the strappy Primark vests with the ‘boob support’ so I could get them out easier.

After that I got some lovely comfortable ones from M&S with the clips that were really good.

Recommend the nice soft bras for the first few weeks whilst your milk supply and breast size settles down, then after that you can invest in fancy ones if you wish

I liked the crossover front style ones where you can just pull it to one side or the other for easy feeding access I've seen them recently on Sainsbury's Tu online (v reasonable for a two-pack), I got mine last time from Amazon - brand Kindred Bravely

Hi everyone. Has anyone tried silicone breast pad/cups that hold any milk that leaks that can then be saved? Seen them on ninemonthssober as advertisement on Facebook and thought they may be worth a try, but wanted some opinions! Thanks Laura

To be honest, initially I was producing so so much that collecting it wasn't necessary.

Plus it tends to only be the less fatty initial milk which is less filling as fat content increases through a feed as milk ducts are stimulated

OP: you may well need something that allows you to carry a breast pad in there including when you have one breast out for feeding but there is a letdown on the other.
A soft crop top on big breasts may not work for this
