So my son is 12 weeks but is 16+lbs, I was wondering how much formula is too much as he will be probably around 22lbs at 6 months how much formula is too much? Most people say 32oz but he's having more then that some days already!

We were always told its roughly 2.5oz per lb of weight so in your case 16x2.5 = 40oz. How much is he having and how often?

NHS says 150-200ml per kg of weight so 16lb is around 7kg so 1050-1400ml which is approx 35-46oz

I have also read 2.5 x body weight in lb but a maximum of 32oz in 24 hours. Our twins are big - 15/16 lbs at 14 weeks. They have always taken more than 32oz (currently on 5 x 7oz bottles). I’m not concerned because they only seem to take what they need. We don’t force it down them and they are very rarely sick. They also seem to be taking less now than they did a month ago though that may be related to starting to teeth/a cold they have had/dropping a night feed.

@dementedpixie he had 6-7oz every 4 hours, with the occasional one where he'll only wait 2 hours, and he eats day and night

There isnt a maximum I've ever seen. NHS site doesnt mention a maximum either:
