Musty smelling sterillizer & contents

Bugger.

Went away for a week and foolishly left everything in the sterillizer (electric steam kind) with the lid closed rather than let it all dry out. Came back and it smells really gross and musty (mildew?)

Washed everything and scrubbed in hot soapy water (with antibacterial soap), put the sterillizer on empty for two sterillizing cycles and have done a careful sniff test. Most stuff seems okay, except for the bottle teat (Habermann feeder so expensive to replace) which I have now put in boiling water with some antibac washing up liquid to soak in overnight in the hope that will help.

Any other suggestions to get all this stuff really clean again? I don't have to dump the lot and buy new again, do I? Was getting bored of the pumping anyway, maybe I'll just ditch and just not sterillize again (ds2 is 4 months - just 2 months to go until weaning, and I'm assuming then I can ignore sterillizing after that...) But then no nights out with dh and an EBM bottle for the next 2 months.

Bugger bugger bugger bugger.

DOH... looks at dishwasher sitting there doing nothing at the moment and thuds head against desk

Will try that in the morning ...

Well, I thought that Twiglett - but was going to try using one of those doidy cup things for fluids when ds2 starts solids... I'd still be doing breastfeeds. Would have thought there'd be less places for germs to lurk? Bottle teats, obviously there's more places for icky things to grow, as I've just proved...

Then again, I'm also idly wondering whether I'll use formula for cooking/mixing baby rice when we get there because I'm really beginning to loathe expressing, so presumably will have to sterilize anything I make that up in...

ties head up in knots due to thinking too hard
