DS, 10 months, dropped from 91st to 75th centile. HV wants me to top up with formula, what do you think?

DS is a good eater, and a very good feeder (breastfed, never had formula). At his development check today the HV was concerned that he has only put on 4oz in 2 months, and is now on the 75th centile, whereas he's always been on at least the 91st before. However, he is only on the 25th centile for his height so I think he's just evening out. I can't be bothered with the expense and hassle of formula, and I don't like giving him anything processed TBH. But DH is more inclined to go with the health professionals on this one. Any advice would be really appreciated. Thanks.

TikTok,

was recently in Brixton where they exchange usual charts for new bf only charts, tho didn't look that much different and still not equal to the charts off the kellymom site.

lemonaid, I knew about the SACN discussion document, but we are some way off adopting them as govt policy....though I see from the BBC report you link to that someone might get the impression it's practically done and dusted I didn't know about DP announcing a pilot, thanks. That's good news.

MatNanPlus - are the charts you refer to the WHO ones, or the Cambridge ones from the Children's Growth Foundation? I expect it's the WHO ones on kellymom, though I haven't checked.

will have to dig them out nexttimei'm home as the hv was happy to give me both girl and boy copies to add to my standard ones.

I believe they were the WHO ones but when i looked at them v the downloaded ones from kellymom they differed slightly.
