Breast to bottle - allergies? Help!

Hi All,
I currently EBF my 12 week old. He has the odd bottle of formula, but I would like to begin introducing one a day and then up it with the aim to stop breastfeeding. I am in no rush to do this, but I am worried that he may be allergic!!

At around 5 weeks old he came up in a raised itchy, red rash all over his face and chest/arms. It was quite bad. Doctor said it was eczema and the cream he gave us seemed to clear it up which was great! At this point he had tried formula once but that was about it.

Since then I've been logging when his rash flares up, if he is sick etc to try to determine what might be causing it. I've started to notice that 2-3 days after a bottle of formula a little bit of the rash comes back - see picture attached. He can also have the odd day where he is sick more than usual but I haven't really been able to link that to anything. I'm unsure if it's a dairy/cows milk allergy because I eat SO much dairy myself I would have thought the effects might come through the breast milk too? Also on the days when he does have a bit of formula, it sometimes only an ounce or two! Not even that!

Anyway, it's these things I'm paranoid about and it's probably one of the reasons I keep putting off introducing bottles more regularly.

Any advice would be much appreciated!

it might be worth trying him on soya milk powder to see if he responds the same way x
