Dream feeding

I'm going to try my 8 week old with a dream feed. I was wondering, should I wind him as I don't want to wake him, sort of defeats the object. But again I don't want him in pain. Some advice would be great

I personally wouldn’t wake him up for a feed. I didn’t do this with my little girl. I only fed her when she woke up. But if you do dream feed definitely make sure you wind him otherwise he might choke if it comes back up.

Bf (from breast) or bottle?

Orangedaisy · 04/10/2019 21:18

I ask because I think it affects the amount of winding needed

I’d say then you need to wind him if you do decide to dream feed. Can’t hurt to try it, if he settles quickly despite being winded and then sleeps you’re sorted. If it doesn’t work then at least you know!
