HIPP organic stage 1 or 2?

Hi,

I am combination feeding as I exclusively pump and at times my supply is low. DS will be 6 months in 2 weeks. I have two full bottles (800gr each) of Hipp 1 0-6 months and I was wondering if I could feed him those until he is 7 months old or whether I should just donate them and move on to Hipp Organic stage 2 once baby is 6 months old?

Hmm first time confused mum here.

The NHS advice is to keep baby on stage 1 milk, you do not need 'follow on' milk. It's not regulated in the same way stage 1 stuff is. So keep them on the 0-6 month stuff until they're a year old and can drink cow's milk.

"Unless your midwife, health visitor or GP suggests otherwise, first infant formula is the only formula your baby needs. Your baby can stay on it when you start to introduce solid foods at around six months and drink it throughout their first year."

I used hipp organic and DS was on stage 1 from birth to 1 year when we switched to cows milk. No need for any follow on milks. HV should have advised and NHS website also states this Smile

Oh wow! I didnt know. Thank you very much. Here I was thinking of giving DS two bottles of formula just to use them up before DS turns 6 months.

I live abroad so sadly no HV for us Sad

@Mella91 ah I see! I think it’s a common thing that people think they need to move onto the next stage as it’s so heavily marketed etc.
