Changing from nutramigen to neocate formula

My 11 week old daughter has been on nutramigen for 6 weeks. However she is still refusing feeds and when she does take feeds its small amounts of 2oz or 1oz on a sitting. However her milk allergy symptoms have taperered. She is not gaining enough weight. She has now nearly. Dropped 3 percentiles from 90th to 50th.. Bordering the 25th. The health visitor has suggested neocate and is going to ring me tomorrow morning about it. Has anyone experienced the change from Nutramigen to neocate? Does neocate taste better? Maybe she will have more if it does. I'm so worried about her not gaining enough weight. She has only gained 0.10 kilo in 2 weeks.. Has neocate got more calories too? Sorry for the long winded questions. Any advice would be appreciated

Hello. How stressful for you! My little one 9 weeks old swapped from nutramigen to neocate on Friday. Things got worse for a day or so, very restless (She always is but this was worse if I'd thought that could happen) and I think her silent reflux flared during the change a bit but today and yesterday I have a different baby she sleeps after food now and is very content used to cry for hours but been like what id call a normal baby. She took to nutramigen well and also took.to.neocate well but the dietitian said it tastes better than nutramigen and when she was in hospital the peaditrician actually said I'm pleased she eating the nutramigen because it's foul so if neocate tastes better then I'd Deffo give it a go if I was you - hopefully she will take if it does taste better. Not sure how your little one will react but mine has stinky trumps on neocate worse than the nutramigen thought I'd warn you of that. It's also a lot tinner than other milks and I think smells just as bad as nutramigen. I know neocate is very expensive even more than nutriamigen so I'm doubtful anyone would prescribe unless they actually thought it would help. Sorry if I am telling you all stuff you know but I was desperate for weeks and I wish I knew there was a light. Her intake did drop on nutirmagen but she is picking up now and we upped her bottles today so it could be same for yours (fingers crossed for you!!) Although to be fair she never had anything like that weight loss just lots of pain. I really hope it works for her and you! I also read on neocate website that they might get hungrier because finally they have a milk that doesn't hurt them. If you give it a whirl hang in there a few days I nearly gave in but so glad I never! xxx
