What if one year old won't accept cows milk?

Baby is approaching one in next couple of weeks and I tried her with a little bit of cows milk in a bottle and her cup just to try and ease her in to the transition from formula. But she keeps spitting it out and will not accept. Does this happen every baby? How am I supposed to wean her into cows milk? 🙈

My first initially wouldn't accept it either. I just gradually switched. I added a couple of oz of cows milk to her 7oz of formula (5oz formula) then every couple of days I'd increase the amount until gradually it was more cows milk than formula.

We mixed a bit of formula powder into the cows milk on health visitors advice to transition over to cows milk. It worked well and now ds is happy to drink just cows milk all the time.

I BF mine, so it's different, but neither would entertain cows milk at all. I just carried on feeding as normal until I weaned at 18 months; they would still not drink cows milk, so they had extra bits of cheese and yoghurt.

So if I were you, I'd use formula until you were happy with their general calcium intake and then swap to water.
