Breastfeeding whilst pregnant

My periods and all signs I am fertile and ovulating returned when my baby was 4 months old despite EBF and feeding very very often and all through the night!

I'm still breastfeeding at least twice in 24 hours, most usually 3/4 times in 24 hours and baby is 13 months old.

I want to get pregnant when baby is approx 18 months old and would like to breastfeed whilst pregnant and continue until my eldest is at least two, I'm not averse to tandem feeding either.

Nobody I know personally has breastfed through pregnancy or tandem fed.

If anyone has or attempted to do this and any pitfalls or advice I'd be keen to hear? Particularly on tandem feeding / weaning baby one before baby two is due?

I bf dd2 when pg with dd3. Didn't over analysis it just did it. Never had any problems. There's 16 months between them and I fed dd2 til she was 2. I tandem fed them too. Just got on with it. It's a bit of a blur now they're 8 and 7. I don't remember the time fondly though. I was bloody exhausted.

I worry about eldest being jealous of new baby having milk or if tandem feeding really would zap my energy too much.

Your age gap is much smaller than mine would be so I'm sure I'd have a different experience regardless but I appreciate hearing about how it went for you :)
