Hi Mumsnet need help in holding baby to feed. Have got in ok with him in the typical hold, across my tummy, have tried the rugby ball under my arm, are there any others please? Thanks!!

Best advice I had was to get hold of boob in one hands as if it's a burger in a bun, to prop it up towards baby's mouth. After you've got baby's tummy facing you of course.

In the early days I preferred sort of reclining on the sofa with baby on top of me 🤔 hard to describe actually.

Also learning to feed laying down was a life saver for me for night feeds.

One of DSs favourite positions is to sit him with one leg either side of my knee, with me sitting at a slight recline and his body lying up mine

Oh these are good ideas, I've struggled with me reclining and him lying on me as he's so young I'm worried he can't breathe! Or move his head away if he feels he can't breathe!
