So I don’t have to make 2 meals, can anyone recommend good family cookbooks with recipes suitable for a 1 year old (he’s not a fussy eater). He does have an egg allergy also

I honestly didn't do anything different to what we did pre baby, bar reducing salt content, no honey or whole nuts before 1 and cutting things in stick shapes rather than round.

Thanks Harrysmummy246 - I think we are going to have to adapt what we eat as our habits are quite bad!!!

Tried him on bolognaise last night but he hates the texture I think as he kept spitting it out (same the night before!) but seemed ok with chicken strips with a little bit of pesto on

Took a long time before H would eat bolognaise, definitely texture

He adores pesto and chicken was the first 'meat' he went for really.

He likes houmous on toast or beans on toast for a quick meal.

And actually is better with spicy food than I am. It's taken a while for him to eat rice- but that's a texture thing too. Risotto is good as that's stickier though.

Have you tried blending his portion of the Bolognese? My DD isn't a fan of the texture of mince unless it's been blended a little.
