When and why did you stop BF?

My 1 year old has never been a great sleeper but we had about 4 months of 7-5 which now seems like heaven.

I'm wondering whether to give up breastfeeding. I night-weaned at about 7 months but recently the only thing that will get him back to sleep is the boob. I'm now back to work and exhausted. I've heard stopping feeding entirely can help.

I wondered when did people stop feeding and why? Did it help with the sleep?

Stopped when I was pregnant with my second. Made no difference to sleep-the only thing that did was age. Much better age 2 (almost exactly at birthday) and better again at 3.
