Baby more satisfied after expressed milk

Hi, my 9 week old had his tongue tie cut two weeks ago. We’re still struggling with breastfeeding so I offered him a 3oz bottle of expressed milk. He took it well and then screamed as if he was still hungry so offered a bit more. He’s been settled for a stretch of time now like never before. His weight gain is poor so I am thinking he’s not getting enough from breastfeeding itself. Any advice?

Oh and you are probably still exhausted too!Congratulations on your little boy💙
Just remember the bottle is always 100% easier than the breast,it flows easier and baby doesn't have to work as hard.
If you are really wanting to ebf I would do everything possible to work up your milk supply, nutrition and staying very hydrated. And just stick with the breast.Hopefully any pain from the clipping will be gone and now he will need to get those muscles stronger.
Of course if he still isn't gaining ebf'ing isn't worth it!So you do what is best for you both. And most definitely see his doc if he doesn't begin gaining.
Good luck to you and your sweet one💙
