Burping advice?

How often should I be burping my 2 week old? After every feed? She feeds really well and doesn’t seem gassy, but yesterday we couldn’t settle her at all and overnight she was a bit farty so I’m wondering if she had wind. She usually falls asleep at the boob so I’m worried about moving her to burp her in case she wakes again! Any advice appreciated

My first never needed burping! I thought this was typical of breastfed babies but now I have DS2 who is also 2 weeks old and he's much more windy but I keep forgetting to burp him! I've just been doing it when switching sides and not waking him at the end and hoping he's not too windy.

Try it out if she seems unsettled. If she is settling OK without it, don't worry :) DS2 often woke up for a burp a bit after a feed.
