Has anyone had any experiences using HIPP organic comfort for colic and constipation?

My little man is 5 weeks and I've had to change him from aptimil to HIPP. Massive improvement as he has a rash, constipated with an upset tummy and was being sick, to now extremely constipated with play dough like stools! He is super uncomfortable and can't go into a deep enough sleep.

Been to see the GP and they have given me a movicol laxative... if this doesn't work they are going to refer to allergy clinic. In the mean time.... I'm thinking to change from HIPP organic 1 milk that he has been on for the past 5 days, to HIPP Comfort - so the same milk just one designed to help colic and constipation.

Has anyone had any similar experiences? If so please do let me know! I'm not sure whether to hold fire and stick with the original HIPP for a little longer or just change to the comfort? Hate seeing him in pain!

Thank you xx

Has anyone mentioned the possibility of Cow's Milk Protein Allergy (CMPA) OP?

Play dough consistency doesn't sound like constipation. Stools are dry and hard if constipated

I tried that with my dd last yr, as thought same. I found it made hers runnier and mucusy. And didnt like consistency of the formula. Noticed it would split when left sitting for a bit so wouldnt have put in fridge for later use.
