Many of the American parents are v. weird indeed (we have 60% American children at our village school so know rather a lot of them). Last year we went paddling in the river with another family (with 3 small boys) and they, including the parents, were all in contortions of embarrassment because my ds (then just 2 years old) was naked.

Though TBH which of us would bf in such an indiscreet way in public? The second dungarees shot particularly looks like 70s soft porn to me. Far more realistic (and breastfeeding-promotion-friendly) would be to undo the dungaree strap and lift the shirt, rather than undo the shirt as well.
