Hi need help. My grandson has really bad reflux. He was on baby gaviscon thats no longer working. He's been given ranitidine by doctor now. Is there anything else we can try? It's a fight and screaming match every feeding time...it's draining for him and for us :(

Hi there OP,

We're sorry, we don't have any advice but just giving this a little bump for you Flowers We hope someone that can help will be along soon.

Have you found any solutions? I’m in the same situation with my little girl

If you're formula feeding you can buy carobel from the chemist to go in the milk to thicken it up. Worked a treat for my little one, and then I weaned him off the carobel slowly by decreasing how much I put in over a couple of weeks.

Hi. Ranitidine has worked. He's only had that the once and now feeding loads better. He's a wee bit sick after every feed, but we can cope with that now feeding not so much a chore.

@granniegrumps
Glad to hear he is feeding better now on ranitidine we had that and worked for 3 and a half weeks then stopped working

@sweetpea2811
We currently use Carobel but she’s still sick and still fussy I find I can’t thicken it too much because she struggles to drink it even on number 3 teat
