Enough milk feeds for a 1 year old?

I feed her in the morning then the evening and thats the only milk she has during the day apart from what might be in her food. She doesn't really take much interest in cows milk from a bottle

Is this enough? She weighed 19 9 last week so is quite petite but healthy and happy as anything.

i think the rule of thumb is a pint a day isn't it? a friend of mine has 2 boys who are dairy intolerant and so get nowhere near that and are absolutely fine. have you asked the hv?

Not had very convincing experiences of HV's really.

Gut instinct tells me she is fine. Her appetite is fine and she eats a good variety of healthy food

Obviously don't know how much milk she has from me - has both sides each session. Usually on for 10 minutes am then about 20 or more pm.

My DD is bottle fed - so I know it is different. She has 5-6oz (someotimes more) morning and night - that s all she drinks. I would bet you DD is taking at least that.

In addition she has cereals, cheese sauces and yoghurts.

I think that the thing with bf too is that your body will make what she needs. So if she isn't taking that volume your body will probably have adjusted and made it more concentrrated IYSWIM so she gets the same nutrients as she woudl if she was taking twice the volune,

I use to really worry about how much breast milk was enough. When mine wasn't having as much as before I started him with just a tiny bit of pre biotic formula in a cup too. He wasn't too keen. Then someone said the different formulas taste different and I changed it to an organic one and just steadily increased and swapped over to just formula. I also use to try and include dairy products like cheese, yoghurt and cream sauces etc
If she's healthy and happy she must be doing and eating well!!

from 1 year the minimum is 300/350mls (around 12 oz) so I am sure that between 2 breastfeeds your lo is getting plenty. Any milk with foods and any dairy products also count towards the 300/350mls so I am sure your lo is doing fine. Milk isnt the be all and end all and as long as there are other sources of the same nutrients they dont have to have much milk to drink at all.
