Introducing formula

Duplicate thread as this is probably a better group for this question.

I have a 3 week old and a nearly two year old.
The baby is EBF but I'm thinking of introducing a formula bottle at 7pm so the baby doesn't go hungry while I'm doing the toddler bedtime.
Dad does bath currently but finds bedtime a challenge cos toddler is over excited whenever he does bedtime.
So I'm thinking that dad can give the bottle to keep the baby topped up and then we can boob later in the night if needed.
Expressing isn't an option - my flow is rubbish and I'd like this baby to be familiar with formula so that it doesn't come as a shock in later life ( the toddler never took to formula ever)
Is there anything I need to be aware of. I've looked at paced feeding etc.
Basically, I still want the baby to prefer boob and I don't want to mess up my supply. I doubt one bottle will make a difference but looking for advice.

Please can this remain a helpful thread and not become a boob or formula debate.

Thankyou

I do exactly the same for the same reasons. DD is 7 weeks and I have a 2.5 year old. We’ve done a bottle of formula at bed time since she was born and I don’t think it has any impact on my supply at all. She still prefers boob to bottle.
