First time bf, 5 days old up most of the night feeding which is fine but crying so badly when pooing? Mostly just watery poos but I'm genuinely so stressed about it considering just going to formula

Baby will still poo if fed formula. In what way do you think it will be different? Don't forget baby hasn't pooed for 9 months. S/he has got to get used to digestion and the feeling of opening the bowels yet.

My baby used to cry and strain loads when pooing. He's now 10 weeks and over the past few weeks he's got a lot better at pooing! He seems so much more comfortable with it now, think he's got the hang of it! It's normal for baby poos to be liquidy but if they're really watery I'd contact your GP.
