How many times do you BF your 9 month old?

I have a very nearly 9 month old who weaned very well and has been on 3 good meals and an occasional small snack for a while.

For those in a similar position when do you breastfeed? (Baby doesn't have formula so BF only)

I do tend to 'feed on demand' but we're in such a routine now with naps and meals I'm concerned I'm cutting out milk too quickly.

Also to not dripfeed were Vegan so baby has full fat oat milk in food but has no other dairy in diet apart from my milk and vegan fortified substitutes.

I'm soon leaving baby for 24-48 hours and I've never had to consider a real pattern and amount of breastmilk before so I'd love to hear other routines!

At that age I had just gone back to work. My baby had breast first thing in the morning, mid afternoon and before bed. Then through the night.

When I went back to work my baby had 2 x expressed milk for the morning and afternoon and breast first thing in the morning at last thing at night.

On the occasion I was away for 24 hours with work, she would have 100% expressed and had no problems going back to breast on my return.

I hope that helps.

On days I'm at work he has breast on waking, at about 5pm, big feed before bed and maybe one or sometimes two overnight. He drinks about 200ml expressed milk with child minder. Plus water.
He has more breast when I'm home. It's on demand but likely on waking, mid morning, mid avo & bedtime.

Thanks so much for your replies, I rarely express and only really started to express a little when baby was 4 months old. I find it impossible to get more than 2-3oz expressed if i express once mid morning (any later and I won't get any) so it's so hard leaving baby for this long! Any tips to increase that is welcome too!

I would only get about the same as you in one pumping session. And there's definitely less at different times of day. When I'm away from him I just try and build up a stock in the freezer before I leave.
To be honest I'd say he'd probably be fine without expressed milk for 24 hours anyway if he's eating well and drinking water. My first baby never took expressed milk, only water when she was away from me & she survived. Though she would've been older the first time I left her overnight.
