Going from comfort milk to colief?

So my ds is 6 months old and has been on comfort milk since 9 weeks after awful colic, we are going on holiday next month and with travelling time wont be able to make the comfort up with boiling water. Would buying ready made formula and adding colief work? Does anyone have experience of this?

Yes, we used Colief; thing is if needs at least 20 mins (to my memory, please check) to work so you'll have to add it 30 mins minimum before feeding.

I can't advise on how effective it might be compared to comfort formula as we never used it, sorry.

Also colic often improves after the initial 3 or 4 months so perhaps you don't have need of it anymore/to some extent (?)

What does comfort formula actually do to reduce colic? (Colief breaks down the lactose).

  • sorry that was meant to be 20 mins, not 30 mins before.
