i think it is quite good, informative and encouraginig. i agree it could be better worded and clearer on a few points, would be intrested to see what a bfc makes of it (sorry mawbroon if you are one )

[goes to naughty step]

I'm not a bfc fishie, but as soon as I read the bit about stress and tiredness affecting supply, I could hear tiktok's virtual voice saying "it's not true" for the zillionth time

I was a bit bothered about it saying your breasts should feel full if you're producing enough milk.
Mine haven't felt full at all this time round, but he seems to be growing ok on it.

floo - wish I'd known about that website when I was having b/feeding problems - it's excellent, will pass it on to my friend who is having some troubles, thank you

twentypence · 16/07/2007 21:37

This is the woman who advertises really horrible just add water with loads of MSG pasta things for kids in NZ - so I wouldn't really turn to her for infant feeding advice.

mawbroon · 16/07/2007 21:47

Me neither twentypence, but somebody reading that page could be misled and their attempts at breastfeeding undermined.

I have emailed them now pointing out my concerns and suggesting that they follow the link to LLL which is on the bottom of the page and ask them what they think!!

I've since thrown the book out, but I'm sure all of that advice is taken pretty much verbatim from that pile of dross, 'What to Expect in the First Year'.
