You can buy special breast milk storage bags in Boots which you could store the milk in and then transfer to a bottle when you need it. As for bottles, you will just have to try it and see!! initially your dd may not like the bottle as she will be used to the bf - a rubber teat is not the same!! I found the Tommee Tipee closer to nature bottles suited my dd best - just buy one to start with and see if it suits you??

Many babies (mine included!)get a small blister on the top of their upper lip. This is called a sucking blister and is caused by the sucking action when feeding - perfectly normal and nothing to worry about!!

I feeze milk in boots bags too and would also recommend the 'closer to nature' bottles too!!

I was given some Avent bottles so didn't even think about it - just used them (at about 3 months I think) and dd took to it straight away. She didn't bat an eyelid so I was most put out

I gave both ds1 and ds2 a dummy whilst they were being breast fed. They didn't have it all the time but just if they were being especially grumpy. They never had any nipple confusion or problems telling which was which at all. Hope that helps.

My daughter would only take milk from the baby nova small galss bottle www.greenbaby.co.uk/pl_FEEDING.htm.

JoMa · 17/07/2007 17:55

I use the Tommee Tippee bottles too and ds2 gets on fine with them

I am using the boots storage bags and avent bottles as they fit the breast pump I am using.
