Formula milk

Hey all.

My little boy is now 12 weeks old, I am currently giving him cow and gate ready to drink formula milk, he has always drunk this cold or room temperature. I'm now looking to change him over to the powder cow & gate formula as this is a lot more cost effective I was just wondering is there any way of making the powder formula cold as I don't really want to start giving him warm bottles!

Thank you x

You have to mix the powder with water over 70 degrees to kill the bacteria in the powder. You could top the rest up with cooled boiled water and then run it under the cold tap to cool it. You might find he prefers it warm anyway though.

You would need to make them with hot water to kill bacteria in the formula powder. You could then chill them in the fridge before use

Bottles kept cold in the fridge should be used within 24 hours although ideally they should be made fresh

As above you have to make with hot water but you can make and quickly cool them with ice cold water and store in the fridge. You can store them for 24 hours but I used to make up one lot in the morning and one in the evening so they were only there for around 12 hours.
