Bottle and sippy cup advice needed

Hi,
My first post!

My 11 week old isn't convinced about the bottle. He normally has a reasonable go at the start of a feed (40-70ml) then fusses about and won't go back on. He then often needs a breastfeed shortly later. We've tried once a day with expressed milk in mam bottles for weeks. It's a major faff and quite distressing. He's made no progress later, in fact, I'd say he's getting worse. It feels like I've read everything that exists on the issue, online.

Is it worth trying another bottle, considering he will take some from the bottle we have?

Has anyone any experience with sippy cups for milk from four months? Or did anyone find their baby suddenly took the bottle one day?

I have a day where I have to be away from him in mid July, he'll be five and a half months, and I'm panicking!

It is a tricky one!! My DD would only take milk from the bottle if someone else gave her it and I wasn't around.

This goes against HV advise so unsure if you want to take it but my girl was always a big milk drinker, she had the tommee tippee bottles but I found at around 8 weeks she was doing the same and often stopping after maybe 1-2oz.

After some googling I found that changing the teat flow to a slightly faster one helped others. I moved her from slow to medium and after a few goes (and mildly drowning herself in milk) we were off! I soon moved her to vari flow and she's been on this since. Vari flow didn't work first of all as it was much too fast with how hard she was sucking.

Might be worth a shot before changing all bottles as could work quite costly!

UPDATE: Just in case anyones affected by the same bottle refusing problem, big success with sippy cup. A bit messy but he can have a full feed from it, no crying. We use the mam 4 month plus one but he is 3 and a half months.
